We will eat, walk, learn, and dance (yes, dance!) our way through Athens, setting strong foundations for our trip. While visiting the Acropolis is a must, we will stray from the tourist crowds for most of our time here. Think off-the-beaten path wandering and local hangs with the best food Athens has to offer. In two days this city is sure to leave an imprint on our hearts and tastebuds.

On Day 3 we set sail to our first Greek island. Syros dreams are made of these: postcard-worthy Greek island vibes without the overwhelming crowds. Here we will dig into Greek culture, explore Ano Syros, and ancient art. We will unwind and uncover hidden coves by land and boat all the while dining at authentic tavernas, visiting small villages and enjoying local music. We will have the opportunity to try SUP, local wines, and tsipouro (in that order) and if dipping in the sea everyday suits your fancy, you will be happy from here on out.

Next we will sail onward to Naxos, an island of many adventures and incredible beauty. Here we will continue our Greek culinary odyssey with a traditional cooking class and take advantage of our proximity to the ocean with sea kayaking and snorkeling. We will traverse the island far and wide, including on foot—and our hikes will be rewarded with gorgeous views of the Aegean sea. Our evenings will be as full as our days, as we explore the island’s nightlife, live music scene, and robust gastronomic culture. On Day 8 we will return to Athens for our final dinner together in the city of the Violet Crown.

On our final morning we will wake up early to watch the sunrise over Athens as a group. Then, after a final round of freddo cappuccinos and a stop at the local fournos (bakery), we will say our goodbyes before departures.
